Merseyside Police will work in partnership to ensure that community concerns are being responded to appropriately. Risk will be managed by ensuring intervention is happening early to maximise safeguarding opportunities.

  • Work will focus on simplifying and strengthening the antisocial behaviour risk‑assessment process, ensuring that risk is considered from the first point of contact and continually reviewed until resolution, with appropriate supervisory oversight.

Progress will be monitored through the use of Risk Investigations and Supervisor Reviews, supported by new guidance, clearer processes to support those most vulnerable to antisocial behaviour, with activity reviewed monthly.

  • Everyone involved in responding to antisocial behaviour will have the knowledge required to identify crime, investigate effectively and problem‑solve using the YGETOUT pneumonic.

Communications around YGETOUT will be reviewed, and force guidance on ASB Preventative Orders will be rewritten, supported by ongoing communications activity and the capability within the Preventative Orders Team to revise guidance.

This work will improve the response to ASB incidents, with progress reviewed at monthly meetings.

  • A child‑centred, trauma‑informed approach will be taken when dealing with child perpetrators, while also ensuring all victims are referred to safeguarding partners where appropriate.

Monitoring will include attendance at Trauma Informed Training and the number of referrals made, supported by the ongoing programme led by the Violence Reduction Partnership. This approach will strengthen the service provided to those most vulnerable, with activity reviewed quarterly.

  • Those reporting antisocial behaviour will be kept updated, offered reassurance and considered for referral to the www.victi Hub in line with the antisocial behaviour callback policy.

Referrals and callback activity will be reviewed at regular meetings, supported by additional training materials and the continued rollout of the Victim Hub. This work will enhance support for the most vulnerable and will be reviewed monthly.
